All You Want To Know About Lash Glue

We’re giving you instructions on how to properly care for your adhesive and answering three of our most FAQs about how to keep adhesive at its best.
How to Correctly Store My Lash Glue?
With unopened adhesive, store it upright in an airtight container with silica/oxygen absorber sachets. You shouldn’t keep the glue with any items that may contain components that damage your adhesive. Unopened glue bottles can be kept in the fridge for up to 3 months after purchase, however, you should keep them away from temperature fluctuation, especially hot temperatures (over 27 degrees celsius)
With opened lash glue, always keep your glue upright in a cold, dark with low humidity. After each use, make sure the lid is clean and securely fastened, using wipes is recommended.
How Often Do I Shake My Lash Adhesive?
Before using the lash adhesive, it should always be shaken. If your lash glue is clear or partially transparent, it’s a sign that it hasn’t been well shaken. Besides, you also have to shake it for 2 minutes at the beginning of the day. Do not forget to “burp” your bottle. When you dispense your eyelash glue, air enters the adhesive container, and humidity follows. This might be troublesome if air bubbles become stuck inside the nozzle. After distributing a drop, turn the adhesive bottle nozzle right side up and gently press until you see the air bubble escape from the nozzle.
How Often Should I Change The Glue Drop?
When lashing, you should also change the glue drop every 15 to 20 minutes because the exposure to air and humidity affects how effectively the glue works.
The adhesive drop size is also crucial. The drop should be large enough to last around 15 to 20 minutes. This is due to the fact that as soon as the glue is dropped, it begins to polymerize, and within 20 minutes, the adhesive begins to dry up and become unusable. If your glue begins to dry out, stop using it since it will affect your client’s retention, and you want their extensions to endure!
After 30 minutes, add water to the glue drops to neutralize the fumes, especially if the old glue drops are close to your fresh drop. If you don’t do this, the fresh drop will polymerize sooner than it should because the fumes from the old drop will contaminate the fresh drop.
